EAE 212a impresses with its clear design, high flexibility and safe automation.
The ETV 216i combines compact design with ergonomic strength and precise performance.
The iF Design Award 2026 highlights the exceptional design quality of both products.
Hamburg – Jungheinrich has received two awards at the iF Design Award 2026. The autonomous Mobile Robot EAE 212a and the reach truck ETV 216i were both honored in the Product Design category. This international competition recognizes solutions that convincingly combine design, efficiency, user-friendliness, and sustainability. Both Jungheinrich products were selected from over 10,000 entries from 68 countries.
The Mobile Robot EAE 212a impressed the jury with its clear, functional design, which reflects its intuitive operation and high efficiency. The EAE 212a belongs to a new generation of autonomous mobile robots and was developed for flexible and safe use in dynamic warehouse environments. Its compact design facilitates integration into existing structures, while reliable navigation, a high degree of autonomy, and intelligent software functions – including over-the-air updates – enable scalable material flow and ensure the system's long-term viability.
The ETV 216i reach truck has also been recognized for its sophisticated product design. As the world's first reach truck with a permanently installed lithium-ion battery, it offers a particularly compact design that ensures optimal all-around visibility and high maneuverability. Its clean lines and ergonomic design create a working environment that enhances efficiency, safety, and comfort, even in narrow aisles or demanding applications. Its powerful technology makes the ETV 216i a reliable partner for intensive warehouse operations.
“This double award underscores Jungheinrich’s commitment to a holistic approach to design, technology, and user-centricity. Both award-winning products impressively demonstrate how intelligent product design solves concrete challenges in the intralogistics industry and creates tangible added value in daily operations,” says Till Muhl, Head of Industrial Design at Jungheinrich. “With the EAE 212a and the ETV 216i, Jungheinrich is setting a strong benchmark for future-oriented intralogistics at the highest international level,” Muhl adds.
