What is a reach truck?
Jungheinrich electric reach trucks are industrial trucks that are particularly effective in warehouses with high pallet density. They offer three major advantages: their compact design, their impressive lift heights of up to 14,000 mm and their reach mast technology.
How does a reach truck work?
When picking up loads, the reach truck moves its mast forward, guiding the forks into the pallet. This movement is known as forward reach. The mast then retracts, pulling the goods back between the support arms for transport. This principle reduces the overall length of the truck, making it particularly manoeuvrable. This allows our reach trucks to move loads of up to 2.5 tonnes quickly and safely to their destination.
Where in the warehouse are electric reach trucks suitable?
Electric reach trucks show what they can do in narrow racking aisles, where they make optimum use of the available space. Thanks to the reach mast and the compact design, they navigate narrow aisles with ease. Jungheinrich reach trucks also deliver particularly strong acceleration, as well as high lift and reach speeds, helping to increase throughput.
With different series, we also cover the individual application requirements of your operation. This allows you to handle fast pallet throughput even at high lift heights and cover long travel distances at high travel speeds.
Are reach trucks suitable for indoor and outdoor use?
Alongside a wide range of lift heights and capacity classes, the Jungheinrich reach truck portfolio also includes trucks for different floor conditions in indoor and outdoor applications. This ensures a high level of driving safety on any terrain. For cold store or outdoor use, you can also equip the trucks with a cabin.
