Five consecutive platinum awards: Jungheinrich once again among the world's most sustainable companies

Jungheinrich is among the top 1 percent of the world's most sustainable companies.

EcoVadis recognizes outstanding environmental performance as well as progress in the field of ethics.

The top rating of A in the CDP rating and the German Sustainability Award confirm the leading position

Hamburg – Jungheinrich has received the Platinum Medal from EcoVadis for the fifth consecutive time, thus consolidating its position among the top 1 percent of the world's most sustainable companies. EcoVadis, the global leader in sustainability ratings, has already analyzed more than 150,000 companies in total.

“The fifth Platinum award is both confirmation and motivation for us. It demonstrates the effectiveness of our sustainability strategy. In particular, the top rating in the environmental category and the significant progress in the ethics category prove that we consistently fulfill our responsibility and resolutely advance our sustainability goals,” says Dr. Lars Brzoska, CEO of Jungheinrich AG.

Top ratings for environment and ethics

EcoVadis assesses companies based on 21 sustainability criteria across four core areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This year, Jungheinrich's environmental performance was once again awarded the highest rating. Jungheinrich also significantly improved its ethical performance.

As part of the Science Based Targets initiative, Jungheinrich has committed to achieving net-zero emissions across its entire value chain (Scopes 1 to 3) by 2050. Another factor contributing to its outstanding environmental performance is the company's comprehensive and transparent sustainability reporting. For example, Jungheinrich provides customers with extensive insights into the environmental impact of various product lines through its Product Carbon Footprints.

Year-on-year, Jungheinrich improved its overall score from 82 to 85 points. This places the company firmly among the top one percent of companies assessed worldwide. The current EcoVadis rating can be viewed at the following link: https://recognition.ecovadis.com/8Soh8V63XUGsOdPbfwed_w

In addition to EcoVadis, Jungheinrich recently received two further awards recognizing its commitment to sustainability. These include the German Sustainability Award and CDP's A rating for the company's climate activities. Both accolades underscore the consistency and effectiveness of its sustainability strategy.
