Visitors will be able to see the EFG 220 – the company’s recently launched three-wheel electric counterbalance truck. Featuring fourth generation AC technology and offering class leading performance and the lowest running costs, the EFG 220 truck – which is, in fact, a three-wheel configuration truck with twin coupled rear wheels – achieves constantly low battery consumption. Energy costs are further reduced thanks to energy reclamation during braking so that, in most applications, a truck will operate for two shifts without the need for a battery change.
In fact, according to independent tests, during a typical shift the EFG will operate for up to half an hour longer before a battery change is required than certain of its competitors. This could equate to de-stacking an extra lorry load.
Also on will be the DFG 425 – one of Jungheinrich’s new models of IC engine-powered counterbalanced lift trucks featuring a hydrostatic drive.
A hydrostatic truck is the ideal product for applications where a lot of ‘shuttling’ work is involved – such as lorry loading and unloading within and around a busy warehouse or factory environment. The DFG 425 also scores highly in applications where ramp work is involved or where fast and frequent changes of direction are required because the hydrostatic drive ensures fast and direct acceleration while changes in direction are sleek and smooth.
Jungheinrich’s new electric pallet truck will also be demonstrated. The ERE 225 features a newly developed cushioned platform and an electric tiller to ensure maximum efficiency and operator safety during operation.
The robust truck, equipped as standard with AC technology, was specially developed for fast and efficient lorry loading and offloading and for transporting large loads over longer distances. The ERE 225 achieves high acceleration and top speeds up to 12.5 km/h (with load to 9.5 km/h) and can transport loads weighing as much as 2,500 kg.
“There is a clear trend towards a fixed stand-on platform“, says Craig Johnson, marketing manager of Jungheinrich UK Ltd. “This is why Jungheinrich has developed a new and more ergonomic platform for the ERE 225.”
Away from the Jungheinrich stand the company’s ETV 216 reach truck will be put through its paces in the exhibition demonstration area. The truck is equally at home on smooth floors inside a building and when operating on bumpy surfaces found outside for lorry loading and unloading duties. This means that for many applications this will be the only truck that users need.
Furthermore, a Jungheinrich stacker truck will be on show in the registration area.
